Kept Secret In SW. Off the beaten path of the route 5 corridor. The happy hour discounts on the apps is great. The quesadilla with chicken upgrade was chocked full of meat and goodies. The draft beer selection is great and the Mayflower New World IPA is stellar. Rebecca is a great server and did the most important follow-up which is lost on most others.
Laser tag was fun although parties have priority and after starting a game with two dozen people we were forced to leave only two minutes into the game so that the party could play their game and we would have to wait another 45 minutes to play after having waited an hour to play already. After games and laser tag we went to reds tavern for dinner. There was six of us. After being seated nicely we waited over 15 minutes to get our food order in, mind you there was nobody else in the restaurant. After ordering food and some beer it took five minutes to get the beer alone. There was no refill service on waters until about 20 minutes of waiting. After an hour we finally got our food. Four out of six of us got our food at the same time. We never received our salad and had to wait ten more minutes for a panini after the four entrees came out. Half the food was cold and half the food was warm. One order was a completely wrong order and not what we ordered at all. Waitress never checked on us to see how everything was until the panini came out and we had to remind her about a salad that never showed. She said it would be right out and it never came. We refused to pay for anything at all as everything was all over the place. Between service and food I'd have to give it less than 1 star. Games and activities are fun. I'd stay away from the restaurant unless planning on just getting a drink at the bar. It was a shame that such a nice looking place couldn't provide a perfect ending to our perfectly fun day. The only plus side was that they comped our entire bill and the manager apologized for everything and said that they were short staffed. No excuse considering we were 1 of 3 tables in the whole restaurant. PLEASE WORK ON YOUR SERVICE!
Went to Red's last night 8/20/16. There were 4 parties there already with food at their tables. Took waitress over 5 minutes to acknowledge us, did not say welcome to Red’s Tavern or give us her name, asked us for our drink order which was just water, never gave us place settings, my menu was dripping with water (I hope was water), took our order, 20 minutes late got our entrees, hubby’s was just barley warm blacked chicken pasta, mine was over cooked chicken parmigiana with Prego jarred sauce. Waitress never came & asked how everything was. I had to go to bar to get refill on our waters. Never asked if we wanted anything else just said I’ll be back with check, never thanked us for coming either. I know we all have bad days but come on was not crowded at all BAD BAD BAD service & food. DON”T GO!!!!!!! If I could leave half a star or none at all I would
Good food! Great service from the bartender, Demar. It was very busy and he kept his cool and gave everyone quick courteous service. Mac Daddy burger is great, also a recommendation by Demar!!
