Reading another comment in saying that "the dogs are there to socialize, not for dumb owners to allow their hyper dogs to get their energy out" Really, dog owners are supposed to tire out their dog prior to bringing them to the park??? The dogs are there to socialize/ play, thus burning energy. I don't agree with any dog being aggressive towards any other dog or anyone. But seriously I hate to say this or compare but do people tire their kids out prior to taking them to play on the playground....no. They are there to play that's how dogs interact with one another....that's normal behavior!

They have water fountains on site, and plenty of bowls. There are chairs, benches, and most importantly bags for poo.

In the beginning, this was the ONLY dog park in the area. Lately, many of the surrounding towns have created their own dog parks.

I personally find this park to be okay. I think many owners need to pay attention to what their dogs are doing rather than just sit there and socialize, ignoring their dog(s) in the event their dog is being aggressive and/or out of hand.

Nice place to bring your furry friends. The dog park is usually fairly busy and clean. The walking path is very enjoyable at 1.6 miles for the longer path with a shortcut about half way through. There are also stops along the path with body-weight exercise equipment.

dog parents just bring their dogs to tire them out because they don't know how to do it any other way. it's more of a social hour for the owners than for the dogs, they owners don't pay attention, my dog was roughed up a couple times and the owners of the dog being aggressive were no where to be found. dog parks are for socialization, not for dumb owners to bring their hyper dogs to release energy. you're supposed to release your dogs energy PRIOR to bringing your dog into a dog park.

Good experience. Nice park, nice people, nice day.

Personally I try to avoid it on weekends in spring when the weather is nice. It can get a little too crowded.

You can count on the fact that there will always be a quorum of dogs at this place. Some of the others suffer for visitors.

I'll see you there!

The dog park is located in a larger park complex that includes walking trails, baseball fields, kids playground, and a skate park.

Given the age of the park, it is showing some signs of age.Regardless, it serves its purpose well.
